Your Guide to Additional Support for Learning in Stirling Council
The Additional Support for Learning Act was introduced in Scotland in November 2005.
The Act aims to ensure that all children and young people are given additional help with their learning when they need it. Duties have been placed on Authorities to achieve this. The Act also gives parents and young people rights to be more involved in decision-making.
More information is available at ASL Stirling for parents, children, young people and others with an interest in understanding the legislation.
