Community empowerment

The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 is a law brought in by the Scottish Government to help communities to do more for themselves and have more say in decisions that affect them.

There are eleven sections of the Act covering different areas of decision making. Some are in force presently, while others are still being consulted on or guidance is being drawn up. As a Community Planning Partner, Stirling Council will be involved in many aspects of the Act.
