Code of Conduct

“Our Code” is a code of conduct about how work we together in Stirling Council.  It is a set of rights and responsibilities that apply to everyone who works here.

Uniquely, it was written by employees and approved cross-party by all Councillors, by managers and Trade Unions and has been adopted across the organisation

From an idea developed by 26 people in a workshop, “Our Code” has become a cultural icon for the Council, available to every employee and Elected Member

“Our Code” is a simple concept.  It describes the behaviours expected of every person within the organisation.   It encourages feedback and shows that this is welcomed across all levels, within and across the Services of the Council

“Our Code” puts into words the kind of experience we want when we come to work.  It is about how we do things, not what we do.

If you would like to find out more about “Our Code” please get in touch.
