Children’s Services provide education, care and support services to meet the needs of children, young people and families.
The services are co-ordinated and integrated where possible, designed around the needs of children and families.
The core of the service is the statutory provision of education for children and young people and the promotion of care and welfare services for children and their families as required by the various Education, Children and Social Work legislation. Around the core are clustered other services designed to make statutory provision more effective.
