Head of Housing Services: Tony Cain
Housing Services provide an integrated, tenant-focussed approach to the management of the Council's housing stock and aim to ensure a thriving and diverse housing supply that will satisfy current and future needs.
The service is delivered through 4 teams: Tenants' Services; Strategy and Development; Homelessness Services; and Technical Services. Between them these teams manage repairs, maintenance, rents, estate management, homelessness and allocations. The service also deals with the modernisation and improvement to Council houses, Council house sales and improving conditions in private housing.
In partnership with Scottish Homes, Housing Association and developers, Housing Services is involved in developing the Council's enabling role in promoting housing for rent. Currently work is well underway in an ambitious redevelopment programme in Cornton and Cultenhove to improve the supply of new affordable housing and regenerate and promote sustainable communities.
