Develop, plan and manage the Council’s road infrastructure by making the best use of existing transport links, which in turn supports the social and economic prosperity of the area, by providing our communities with its principal means of transport to which we all enjoy and which we all depend.

The ‘Roads Maintenance’ part of the service maintain and manage the existing transport network, whilst ‘Roads Development’ plan for and promote safer, healthier transport choices for all. ‘Roads Improvement’ plan for the safe movement of traffic around the Council area and ‘Roads Support’ maintain and develop the key business systems of the Roads and Transport Service. They also report to both the Council and its stakeholders, reliable information on service performance in relation to the management and maintenance of the network.

Our Streetscape team manages and maintains the Council's soft landscapes, influencing the most effective use of the investment in our public realm. Standards and plans are then monitored and measured to provide the Council and other stakeholders, with reliable information on the condition and reliability of the public realm assets, such as clean streets, 'Street furniture', public toilets and 'open space'.

Through the Cemeteries team, we manage both the regulatory aspect and the physical preparation of interments as well as maintain cemeteries, churchyards and monuments in a safe and professional manner.

The City Centre Management team manage the potential of Stirling City Centre promoting delivery of quality services to the business community within the city centre and delivering community safety initiatives.

We also have a Countryside team who manage and maintain the 'natural environment' of flora, fauna and fisheries which surround us, in a sustainable manner for all to enjoy.
