Your rates bill is calculated by multiplying the business rate by your rateable value and is issued annually in April, requesting payment over 10 months from May to February.
Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay. Payments will automatically be deducted from your bank account on the 15th of each month. If you choose to pay by any other method, payment is due by the 1st of the month. If your instalments change, your monthly payments will change automatically. To start paying by Direct Debit, please click on the link below to download a form.
By Phone - Using your Debit Card, please phone 0845 277 7000. You will need the 13 digit reference number from your bill.
By post to Viewforth, Stirling - Payments should be addressed to Rates Service, Stirling Council, Viewforth, Stirling, FK8 2ET. Cheques or Postal Orders should be crossed and made payable to Stirling Council. Please remember to write your reference number, name and address on the back of your cheque.
Paying on Time
You need to pay by the first of every month from 1st May 2008 to February 2009 (unless you pay by Direct Debit). If you do not wish to pay by instalments, you should make full settlement before 1st October 2008.
Ratepayers who fail to pay 4 monthly instalments by 30th September or fall 2 or more instalments behind after that date will receive a reminder. If you fail to pay, further recovery and enforcement action will follow.
