University of StirlingThe University of Stirling is a major contributor to Stirling’s economy with over 2,000 staff and 9,000 students.  

The University has played a key role in attracting high levels of skills and expertise to the Stirling area since it opened 40 years ago. Andy Mitchell, Media Relations Manager, reported: “We are exceptionally proud of the calibre and employability of the graduates we produce; 96.4% of our graduates move into employment or further studies within six months of graduating – higher than the Scottish average.”

“As many of our students work part-time, they also provide an important source of labour, as well as custom, to local businesses and attract additional tourists through visiting friends and families.”
