New retail development for Raploch
Stirling Council has given outline-planning consent for a £20 million retail development in Raploch, at the back of Sainsbury's. The recommendation has been submitted to the Scottish Government for approval, and if granted, will be subject to a Section 75.
Forrest Developments propose to develop a 75,000 sq ft retail park called Castle Retail Park on the site. TK Maxx is already committed to renting 50 per cent of the development and significant interest has been expressed in the other retail units. It is expected that the development could bring 150 jobs to Raploch, with a possible opening date of summer 2009.
