Scottish Fashion Awards 2008
As Stirling Eye went to print, Stirling Castle was preparing, for the third year running, to host the prestigious Scottish Fashion Awards on Sunday 29th June 2008. Now a firm fixture in the international fashion carousel, the Scottish Fashion Awards 2008 features top fashion presenter and event host Louise Roe, and an international fashion panel led by Dolly Jones, Editor of Vogue.com, and fashion icon Daphne Guinness.
Plans for the event include 'Catwalk Caledonia', a series of exclusive fashion interludes presenting the evening's nominees.
As sponsor of the SFA 'Retailer of the Year' award, Stirling Council has been working closely with The Thistles Shopping Centre and the fashion retailers within the centre on a 'catwalk' project of their own, scheduled for June in The Thistles. The show was conceived in order to demonstrate the quality and choice of fashion available within the city.
