Race Equality
In terms of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 and the Race Relations Act 1976 (Statutory Duties) (Scotland) Order 2002, the Licensing Board has been placed under a general duty to:-
1 Eliminate unlawful discrimination
2 Promote equality of opportunity, and
3 Promote good race relations between people of different racial groups.
The legislation also requires the Board to prepare and publish a Race Equality Scheme and a Race Equality Action Plan, to show how it will comply with its statutory duties.
