Stirling Council, as licensing authority, is required to refuse an application if, in their opinion, the applicant is not a fit and proper person to be the holder of the licence or, there is other good reason for refusing the application.
If the applicant has any convictions or fixed penalties a letter of explanation detailing how the conviction/fixed penalty came about should be submitted with the application form.
If convictions/fixed penalties cannot be remembered the applicant should contact:
Disclosure Scotland, Disclosure Bureau, Scottish Criminal Record Office, 1 Pacific Quay, Glasgow, G51 1EA (Tel No: 0870 609 6006) or by e-mail: info@disclourescotland.co.uk.
They will send a form to be completed by yourself to gain, for a fee, a record of convictions recorded against you. The applicant should apply for an enhanced disclosure. Please advise Disclosure Scotland that you are Self Employed.
