Stirling City Centre
Stirling’s city centre offers a distinctive range of shopping and socialising opportunities for residents, visitors and businesses. Stirling is recognised as a regional shopping centre, as well as a national and international visitor destination.
The city has excellent bus and rail links and provides ample parking and park & ride facilities. Stirling’s main shopping attraction is the Thistles Shopping Centre, which provides more than 46,450 sq m (500,000 sq ft) of retail space with 87 units and annual footfall of more than 12 million. Adjacent to the Thistles Shopping Centre are a variety of traditional shopping streets with specialist retailers, cafes, bars and restaurants.
Stirling city centre has recently benefited from significant investment in streetscape improvements, further enhancing the attractiveness of the city centre for shoppers and visitors alike. The work is part of the Vital Stirling project, aimed at improving the performance and competitiveness of the city centre.
