If you want to get to work right away, but still want a qualification to prove you can do the job properly, then Youth Services can help.
We run a number of Vocational Training programmes which allow you to work and learn at the same time. We find a placement provider (an organisation to train with) and sort out your training. This could mean going to college on day release or having an SVQ assessor visit you at your placement.

Get Ready for Work
- For young people entering the workplace for the first time. Work towards an SVQ Level 1, or parts of it. Placements available in Amenity Horticulture
Skillseekers
- Work towards an SVQ Level 2 or above. Programmes range from 1 - 4 years for an apprenticeship. Placements available in Stonemasonry, Motor Vehicles, Business Admin and some other work areas.
As well as helping you with your training, you will have access to Specialist Workers on the Compass programme, and a number of other benefits including participation in theDuke of Edinburgh's Award, Stirling Young Scotand youth grants.
