Provides grants up to a maximum of £1000 to promote community activities and to support local initiatives. Applications accepted from constituted community and voluntary groups for a range of projects including start up costs, one off capital or equipment costs, community events and activities for elderly people.

Landfill Communities Fund Funding is available under the Landfill Communities Fund for projects that improve the environment and/or provide a community facility in the Stirling and/or Clackmannanshire Council areas.  For an informal discussion and advice about applying for funding for your project please contact Audrey Morrison.

Stirling Biodiversity Grant Scheme

Provides help and support in the form of advice and grants to get biodiversity project off the ground.  The scheme helps meet the 2 strategic aims of the Council in particular ‘working towards sustainability’ by enhancing the natural environment and biodiversity of the Stirling area, and ‘promoting local democracy’ through encouraging community participation.

Criteria

  • Fits with the aims of Stirling Council Local Biodiversity Action Plans
  • Provides benefits to the local biodiversity of Stirling through good stewardship of habitats and species
  • Raises public awareness of local biodiversity

Youth Grants

Youth Development Grant

For individual young people aged 16 - 25, who live, work or are educated in the Stirling Council area.  Up to £250 is available to help young people who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless or moving into their first tenancy.

To qualify for a grant a young person must prove limited or no financial or family support. The money must be used for their long term benefit.
