Stirling Young Scot
Big Lottery Fund
The Young People’s Fund is a new grants programme and has £20 million to award to projects in Scotland over the next two years, where the young people decide for themselves how Lottery funds should be spent.
Stirling has been allocated over £200,000 to fund young people's projects. The fund will particularly look to fund ideas that will help young people learn new things and take part in healthy and positive activities that make them feel good about themselves. It is expected that a lot of the money will be used to fund local projects that address important local issues.
Young people in Stirling have an opportunity to get involved in the Young Peoples Panel who look at the local funding applications and decide on which projects the funds should be spent.
For further information on the Young Peoples Panel please contact Shirley Longmuir.
