Awards
The Community Newspaper Forum, made up of all the community newspapers in the area, organises an annual Community Newspaper of the Year” Awards event. The Awards allow the newspapers, who are all reporting on and involved their communities, to celebrate all the great work being done by all the volunteers and promote the newspapers activities.
The awards are split into different categories, including Best Article and main award of "Community Newspaper of the Year 2008". Each category is sponsored by a local organisation or company who provide a small prize. Any of the local community newspapers can enter.
The fifth Awards Evening event will take place this year on Friday 26th September in the Albert Halls, Stirling at which the awards will be presented and to which, community newspaper representatives, sponsors, Stirling Councillors and officers, and local businesses will be invited.
