Forthside
The Vision for Forthside
Stirling Council has approved the masterplan for this 40-acre site adjacent to the city centre.
The aim is to unlock the potential, not just of the site itself, but the whole City. Forthside will reposition the City and raise its profile by providing facilities befitting a new City.
The site is planned to include:
- Sustainable, office accommodation;
- An international 4-star hotel;
- 500-seat conference/events venue;
- Multiscreen cinema;
- Contemporary homes for urban living;
- Niche retail opportunities;
- Leisure opportunities in a quality public space.
Forthside will be a new vibrant neighbourhood befitting a contemporary University City proud of its history. It will be a place to live, work and relax hosting visitors to the City, whether there for business, pleasure or to visit friends and relatives. A new hub of design-led structures of a quality that will cement the Citys credentials as a centre of culture, heritage, learning and innovation will characterise this beautiful riverside location.
