Own Transport

Directions for Viewforth

From M80 (Glasgow) and M9 (Edinburgh) motorways at Bannockburn/Granada Services:

  • Exit onto M9 J9
  • Leave the roundabout at 3rd exit  (from Glasgow exit) or 5th exit (if coming from Edinburgh exit) for Stirling
  • Pass the Pirnhall Restaurant / Hotel on the left
  • Straight through at next mini roundabout – 2nd exit
  • Continue along this road passing the Heritage Centre and King Robert Hotel on the left
  • Approach ST NINIANS ROUNDABOUT – First left
  • Follow this road through traffic lights passing Sommerfield Supermarket on the left travel for 1 mile
  • Continue straight at Randolphfield Police Station mini roundabout
  • Move over to outside lane and go straight at next traffic lights using right lane turn right into Viewforth

From A9 (Perth) at Dunblane roundabout

  • Leave the roundabout onto M9
  • Leave M9 for Stirling
  • Follow roundabout signs for the B8051 for Stirling
  • This road heads straight for Stirling Castle in the distance
  • Straight over at next roundabout – 2nd exit
  • Following this road has the Kings Knot on the left
  • Turn left at next roundabout on to DUMBARTON ROAD
  • Travel 100 yards and turn right onto QUEEN'S ROAD
  • Stirling Golf Club is on the right as is Kings Park further along
  • At the new double roundabout – turn first right then left onto DRUMMOND PLACE
  • Follow this road for ¼ mile then turn left at the traffic lights then first right into Viewforth

Municipal Buildings

  • Follow road past Viewforth complex heading ito the city centre
  • Go straight over at first set of traffic lights
  • Turn left at next set of lights
  • You are now in Dumbarton Road - take first right after  passing the gardens on the left and just before Albert Halls
  • Drive up the small hill and  the Municipal Buildings are on the left with the Library opposite on the right

Walking from Stirling Train Station

  • Leave Station through main exit at the front and cross the road at the pedestrian crossing.
  • Continue upwards through Station Road crossing over at the traffic lights crossing this will take you into the main town centre
  • At the top of the road turn left
  • Follow the road along by MacDonalds
  • Continue on by Marks and Spencers on your left until you come to a set of traffic lights and crossing (Port Street)
  • Continue until you come to the next set of lights  (Iceland on your left)
  • Cross straight through at the lights and continue through Pitt Terrace until you come to the entrance of Viewforth on your left.
