I was first elected in 1980 to represent the Bannockburn area.  I had lived all  my life in the Bannockburn area and felt I wanted to give something back to the community that had been so good for me while growing up.

During this time I have held most positions of responsibility within Stirling District Council and then Stirling Council.  My main interestes over the years have been housing, social services and equality issues.  During the last year, since giving up teaching, I have been involved in children's services which I have also enjoyed a great deal.

My hobbies are reading (when I have the time) and computing.
