How to Apply for a Job
A detailed job pack including job description and other appropriate job-related information can be obtained either by telephoning the number or e-mailing the address stated on each post advertised.
To apply you must fully complete the Council’s application form.
- CV’s will not be considered. The guidance notes have been prepared to help you in your application; please read them before completing your application.
- The Council requires that all recruitment and selection decisions should be monitored; that is why you are asked to return a completed equal opportunities monitoring form with your application. Any information supplied on this form will be used for monitoring purposes only. The completed monitoring form is separated from your application form when we receive it; no one involved in the selection process has access to it.
- Separate applications must be submitted for each post applied for.
- Your completed application form and equal opportunities monitoring forms must be returned to the appropriate address on or before the closing date as any applications received after the post closing date will not be considered.
- Applications can be returned by post or e-mail attachment, details of which can be found at the bottom of each job vacancy.
- Applicants returning forms by e-mail will be required to sign their form at interview stage.
- If you have not heard from us within 28 days of the closing date please assume that we are not proceeding with your application on this occasion.
- An Application Form and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form is available for down-load in pdf format. Alternatively, a Word 97 version is also available to down-load and complete within Word on your PC.
