Access programmes are designed to give you a taste of what working in a particular job is like. You'll learn key skills you'll need for any job as well as skills for that particular job. You'll also go on work placements and get hands on experience.

Then Choices in Care could be just what you're looking for.
Choices in Care is a 26 week training and development programme for young people interested in working in the care sector. As well as getting the chance to work in nurseries and homes for the elderly, you'll also learn new skills which will improve your job prospects whatever career you decide to follow.
Young people who have completed the course have found employment straight away in the care sector or other jobs, or gone on to further training at college.
