"Once More… With Feeling" was an international selection of contemporary art and culture responding to the theme of re-enactment. Although well known forms of re-enactment such as military battles and living history museums are often criticised as ‘pragmatic combinations of extreme literalness and license’, the artists, designers, scientists, musicians, and hobbyists included in "Once More… With Feeling" upset this balance to create poignant works raked from the ‘dustbin of history.’
