Ravenga Kadavro: Stray Dog
Craig Barrowman, David Downie, Sarah Mathieson, Cheryl Bailey, Jill Foote-Hutton, Katherine Rhodes Fields
29 March – 15 April

Stray Dog is a project formed by David Downie & Craig Barrowman. It’s aim is to develop and strengthen the notion of a global art community exchanging of ideas, thoughts and inspirations across borders and nationalities.  The exhibition Ravenga Kadavro brought together three Scottish artists Downie, Barrowman and Sarah Mathieson with three American artists; Cheryl Bailey (Denver), Jill Foote-Hutton (Missouri) and Katherine Rhodes Fields (Mississippi). The format of the show came from a Surrealist technique, exploiting the mystique of accident through a collective collage of words or images called Cadavre Exquis (Exquisite Corpse). The project created a dialogue between the artists through an exchange of text and image, each having to inspire the next recipient.
