We Interrupt This Programme... took a journey from A to B, exploring the gaps between somewhere, something or someone. The exhibition focused on the interruptions and mistakes made on a journey, be it falling in love, rags to riches (and back again) or simply the passing of time and the milestones on the way. The exhibition extended out of the gallery space, with the some of the artists showing work in locations within Stirling’s city centre and in shops throughout the Crawford Arcade.
We Interrupt This Programme… first took place in Newcastle in 2000, with seven artists from Scotland and the North East of England. This second leg completed the journey from A to B, looking at how the artists work developed, and continuing collaborations and discussions started in Newcastle.
Curated by Gordon Dalton and Christopher Yeats.
