Biodiversity Audit

To find out what biodiversity we have in Stirling at the moment, all the existing information on plants, animals, habitats etc. has been collected together. From this the Stirling Council Area Biodiversity Audit was produced in August 2000.

This information is important for two reasons. It allows us to compare any future changes in biodiversity with a baseline level and also allows us to identify species and habitats in Stirling that are rare or declining locally, internationally and UK wide.

Lists are available of:

Priority list species
Conservation concern species
Local concern species
UK priority habitats
