The Process

Between now and 2008 we will use the findings of the Community Paths Project to form the basis of the Draft Core Paths Plan and thus the Core Path network itself.

The table below highlights the things we need to do to make the draft plan a reality

What Doing? Description When doing?
Produce a project time table Done
Make consultation files A record of everything we do and what people say. Done
Develop a Consultation Strategy How we find out what people want Done
First round of consultations Using the results of the Community Paths Project means we only need to visit Fintry and Carron Valley Community Councils Done
Preliminary assessment Looking at everything we have and making an initial guess at what the core path network should be. Done
Draw up a Draft Core Paths Plan. Gather all information we have so far and create a Draft Core Paths Plan for people to look at and comment on. Done
Second round of consultations Taking that initial guess and giving everyone the opportunity to tell us what they think about it. Done
Path surveying Surveying all the potential core paths to see what work is needed and to guess at how much it will cost. Started
Strategic Environmental Assessment A separate plan to see if the Core Path Plan will be good, bad or make no difference to the environment Started
Draw up the next version of the Draft Plan. Pulling everybody’s views together in to one book and getting copies ready for the next stage Done
'What the Public Said' consultation Taking all the views of the public for people to comment on. Done
