Inspections
Our volunteer Path Inspectors undertake a vitally important job for the Access Team. They check their 'Adopted Path(s)' on a regular basis letting us know if there are any problems or issues arising on this path. The Path Inspectors are based on the 'Adopt a Path' scheme, whereby a member of the public 'adopts' a path and then takes responsibility for the inspection of this path four times a year. This enables the paid council staff to focus their attentions on the maintenance and repair of problems rather than the inspection of paths.
Our volunteer Path Inspectors walk their paths and send us their inspection cards with any comments they have or problems they found. Any problems are added to the path management database (CAMS) and any issues that may crop up will be investigated by either the Access Team, the Ranger Team or the Maintenance Team in order to resolve any issues they may find.
