Walks for All
Walking is a great way to maintain an active lifestyle and can contribute to keeping fit and healthy. There are so many benefits to walking and the best thing about it is that it is absolutely free. All you need is a pair of comfortable shoes and some free time to get out and about. The only problem is knowing where to go and if a route really is the one for you.
The answer is our new ‘Walks For All’ pack based on the Break Free design. Break Free aims to open up walking to as many people as possible by providing the information you need to know when deciding if a walk is for you. This is done in an easy to understand format.
The pack is made up of 16 routes between 0.5km and 5.3km. Each route has a map and short description. The map shows where you will find public transport, any barriers such as stiles or gates and it lets you know the gradients on the way. The short description tells you if there is anything special to see. Each walk has a handy grade to tell you the worst gradient and path surface on the route.
“Great if you are recovering from an illness, have been advised to do more exercise, have a family, just want to get out of the office at lunchtime or have an evening stroll.”
