Multi-agency Working
The Antisocial Behaviour etc (Scotland) Act 2004 (and associated legislation) is made up of 13 parts, with various agencys across the Council Area working together to utilise these tools to intervene and prevent antisocial behaviour. One tools is an Antisocial Behaviour Order, which is only considered if intervention and prevention have not been successful.
Much work has already been done in tackling Antisocial Behaviour, here are some examples:
Stirling Council - Housing Services
- Highlighting tenancy conditions to new tenants.
- Intervening and offering support at an early stage.
- Working with other services and agencies to find a solution.
- Consider the use of Antisocial Behaviour Orders and Short Scottish Secured Tenancies.
- Consider traditional methods of repossession/eviction in appropriate cases.
Stirling Council - Environment Services
- Noise Investigation
- Streetscape scheme – tackling vandalism, fly tipping, litter and graffiti
- Registration of Private Landlords
Stirling Council - City Centre Initiative
- Working with businesses to reduce crime
- Liaising with Council Services and Police to ‘design out’ crime from the city centre
- Working with licensed premises to reduce the impact of alcohol-related antisocial behaviour
- Working in partnership to ensure effective transport provision at critical times
