Access to Apprenticeships
Youth Services have introduced an Access to Apprenticeship programme aimed at matching local young people with local employers with an ultimate aim of achieving long-term sustainable employment through apprenticeship placement. As part of the programme action research will be carried out with a view to learning from what has gone before and it will also work towards developing a best practice methodology for future use.
As part of this programme this web-site has been created and it is hoped that this will become the sole point of contact for apprenticeship placement linking employers seeking apprentices with apprentices seeking employment. It will also act as a medium for feedback from both the young person and employer on a real time basis during their placement. This will allow the support workers from Stirling Council Youth Services to operate an early intervention support service that will encourage placement success.
