Pandemic Influenza
Influenza pandemics are explosive global events in which most, if not all persons worldwide are at risk of infection and illness.
The main purpose of the plan is to ensure that the Council can continue to deliver essential services during a pandemic and to outline the specific procedures and organizational structures required to achieve this taking into account potentially high levels of employees absence.
This plan should be considered as an addition to the Council’s generic arrangements that are contained within our Major Emergency Management Procedures.
