If you are experiencing Domestic Noise Nuisance there is help and support available, you may also want to consider approaching the neighbour responsible, as they may not be aware that they are causing you a disturbance.
Stirling and Clackmannanshire Noise Team operate on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings between the hours of 8pm and 3am.

In order to help you the Team have to gain access to your home and if there is excessive noise they record how loud it is using specialist equipment. The Team will, without exception, display identification. If the levels exceed the legal limits, then enforcement action will be taken.
This action consists of the person responsible for making the noise being advised that the situation is unacceptable. In the vast majority of cases that is all that is required, however, if necessary an official Warning Notice will be served. If the Warning Notice is not complied with the Team have the power to issue a Fixed Penalty Notice with a fine of £100. Failure to pay a fine within 28 days may result in a Court case, which can result in a fine of up to £1000.
In extreme cases, when noise continues or recurs the Team have powers to enter and seize equipment used to make the unlawful noise. Equipment can include; hi-fi’s, stereos, televisions, radios, DVD players, CD’s, DVD’s, musical instruments or any other sound producing device.
