Homelessness Strategy

This Strategy includes the key priorities for action by the Council and its partners, based on an assessment of need which was carried out by an independent consultant.

A multi-agency Partnership has been established to develop the Strategy and facilitate the co-ordination of the many agencies involved.
This has to be seen as an important element of the Community Planning framework, aiming to achieve social inclusion and equality of opportunity for all citizens.

The Partnership is committed to process of ongoing review, which is essential if we are to achieve a truly effective response to homelessness in Stirling. It is important that the Strategy is seen as a ‘working’ plan, and not simply one that is put on a shelf to gather dust. Eliminating the problems of homelessness has to be seen as a long-term commitment.

This section explains what to do if you are homeless and how Stirling Council will deal with your application.
