Enterprise in Education
Enterprise in Education is being delivered in schools all across Scotland under the Scottish Government's strategy. In Stirling we focus on the following areas:
Career Education
Enthusing children and young people about the world of work, helping them to make connections between learning and work, and equipping them with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their future at every stage of their learning.
Enterprising Teaching and Learning
Involves taking an enterprising approach to teaching to enable young people to develop enterprising skills and attitudes that they will require as employees, employers and entrepreneurs of the future.
Work-based Vocational Learning
Offers young people the opportunity to support their classroom learning by gaining practical skills in the workplace, and ultimately allowing them to achieve a recognised qualification.
Entrepreneurial Learning
Allows all children and young people to develop a range of skills through 'hands-on' participation such as setting up and running a company. They learn that being a leader isn't just about telling others what to do, the importance of team work and good presentation skills.
Business Engagement
Involves a wide range of organisations working in partnerships with schools across Stirling to give learning a real life context.
