The Schools

The project has replaced:

Dunblane High School
Stirling High School
Wallace High School
St Modans High School

and an extensively extended and reshaped McLaren High School

(Of the other two secondary schools, the award-winning Balfron High School PFI new-build was completed in 2002 and Bannockburn High is being upgraded separately by the Council)

Student led design workshops were held at each school to generate ideas for buildings which were intended to inspire and motivate students to maximise their individual and collective educational potential.

Each workshop elected two students to work with the school and the project architect to produce and develop ideas for a selected area of the proposed school.

Specifically the project:

removed all hutted accommodation from two schools
addressed the shortages of social space
addressed accessibility
upgraded the main building elements
improve operational facilities
