We provide statutory education for children and young people aged 2 -19 years with additional support needs. Integrated learning and care environments of the highest quality are promoted to meet the individual needs of children. The provision ranges from differentiated provision in mainstream schools and establishments to highly specialised facilities and support within and outwith the authority.
There are extended learning support facilities at Callander Primary School, Dunblane Primary School, Fallin Primary School and Riverside Primary School. These facilities support children who require extended learning support and provide help within the class setting or in the teaching base.
Dunblane Primary School and Riverside Primary School have specially designed facilities for children with autism. These facilities support children in an appropriate educational environment.
Castleview School is for children and young people with a wide range of complex learning needs. For more information contact the headteacher.
McLaren High School, Stirling High School and Ochil House at Wallace High School have provision for young people of secondary school age who require additional support to access the curriculum. There is an emphasis on developing skills for independent living.
