History
Drymen Primary School was officially opened on 19 May 1991 and is a modern building on the outskirts of Drymen. During session 1997/98 the school was further developed with the addition of two extra teaching areas and hard standing playground.
The school has six main classrooms, a library, a large central resource area, a large hall/dining room, two flexible open areas and a pottery area complete with kiln and a computer suite also equipped with an interactive whiteboard.
There are many special features incorporated into the school including: an upstairs library with a superb collection of reference material, flexible open-area where children can work, network PCs in every classroom, video conferencing facility, a large and well-equipped gym hall and every classroom has patio doors leading to an outdoor working and eating area with benches.
