The Safer Parking Scheme, an initiative of the Associations of Chief Police Officers throughout the United Kingdom, is managed by the British Parking Association and supported by the Home Office and Scottish Government.
Branded nationally as 'Park Mark', safer parking status is awarded to parking facilities that have met the requirements of a detailed risk assessment carried out by the police.
By meeting these requirements a parking operator is demonstrating that they have put in place measures that will help to deter crime and antisocial behaviour. In effect, doing everything they can to prevent crime, maximise security and reduce the fear of crime in their parking facility.
Therefore, customers using a ‘Park Mark’ accredited parking facility, can rest assured that every effort has been made to create a safe and secure parking environment.
Currently there are five ‘Park Mark’ accredited car parks in Stirling these are:
Springkerse and Castleview Park and Ride Sites
Wellgreen Multi Storey Car Park
The Thistles Multi Storey Car Parks (2)
