Road closures

Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Occasionally there is a need to close a road or footway to enable maintenance works, improvement works, public utility works or other activities to proceed safely.

Road closures inevitably cause inconvenience to road users.  Steps are taken to minimise the duration of any closure and the impact this will have on the surrounding road network.
