Taxis
A licence is necessary for operators who ply for hire in the street
- they accept passengers for reward at taxi stances, in the street
- can be flagged down by a member of the public when the taxi sign is lit
Taxi operators can also accept pre-arranged bookings.
- All taxi vehicles in Stirling must be white in colour, with the exception of purpose-built or custom-made taxi vehicles, (Fairways, Metros etc).
- All taxis must carry a roof sign, with the exception of purpose-built vehicles. The roof sign should carry the Stirling Council logo and the taxi plate number. Council plates are found on the rear bumper of the car.
