Civic Amenities

We run civic amenity sites at:

Lower Polmaise - on Stirling Road (A905) just outside of Fallin

Summer Opening Hours (01 April - 30 September)

  • Monday - Sunday - 8.30am - 6.30pm. Last entry at 6.15pm.

Winter Opening Hours  (01 October - 31March)

  • Monday - Sunday - 8.30am - 5.00pm. Last entry at 4.45pm.

Facilities to accept Household Wastes for disposal, including:

  • General household waste, asbestos (by appointment), garden chemicals

Facilities to accept Household Waste for reuse and recycling, including:

  • Garden waste, engine oil, car batteries, flourescent tubes, fridges/freezers; bicycles, metal, wood, rubble, and others. More information about what materials are accepted at the Lower Polmaise Household Waste Recycling Centre -- including directions on how to get there -- can be found here.

Balfron - next to the fire station at the back of the Co-op

  • Open Mon - Fri 5 pm - 8pm, Sat 10 am - 2 pm
  • Facilities to accept household wastefor disposal and recycling, including: engine oil, car batteries, fridges/freezers

Callander - Lagrannoch Depot, just off the A84

  • Open Mon - Fri 5 pm - 8 pm; Sat 10 am - 2 pm
  • Facilities to accept household waste for disposal and recycling, including: engine oil, car batteries, fridges/freezers

Killin - Car Park, Old Station

  • Open Sat only 11 am - 3 pm,
  • Facilities to accept household waste.  No difficult waste accepted.
