Plastic Bottles
Please wash & squash all plastic bottles. This will take up less room and allow you to fit more in your box. It will also help make more room on the collection vehicles.
Remove all lids and place them in the box. All plastic bottles also can be recycled at the Lower Polmaise Household Waste Recycling Centre.
Collection of all plastic bottles (not just milk bottles) at kerbside currently is being implemented across all areas. You will be informed when collection starts in your area.
As of May 2008, all plastic bottles are being collected in:
- URBAN AREAS: All urban routes with Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs or Fri collections. This includes the recently added collections in Dunblane and Bridge of Allan.
- RURAL AREAS: Limited rural routes. Friday collection in Kippen and Gargunnonck, and Monday collection in Wood of Doune. Expansion expected in May and June.
Kerbside collection of all plastic bottles (Type 1 and Type 2) is expected to be available everywhere by summer 2008.
