Stirling Alloa Kincardine Rail link

The reopening around 21km of track, the Stirling-Alloa-Kincardine Railway will provide passenger services from Alloa to Stirling and freight services to Longannet Power Station. See map of route.

News Update:
Transport Scotland has announced that from May 2009 there will be a peak-time direct train service from Alloa directly to Edinburgh, Monday to Friday. It will leave Alloa at 0738 and arrive in Edinburgh at 0845. This means that during the morning peak hours there will be an extra train between Alloa and Stirling.  In the evening it will leave Edinburgh at 1733 and go to Alloa instead of Dunblane. It will arrive in Alloa at 1842.
