Research at Stirling University

In a further demonstration of how outward looking it is, the university has established an MBA in International Business with institutions in the Netherlands and France, and students from Harvard and Cornell come to Stirling to study, thanks to a well-developed "study abroad" programme.

The university has had a number of "firsts", including the establishment of sports scholarships, with many fine sportsmen and women combing study with their chosen disciplines. It is also a leading light when it comes to business studies, with its Centre for Business Studies producing many entrepreneurs who have achieved success in their chosen fields.

Over the years, the university has increased the financial backing it receives from the private sector for research work , an illustration of how valuable Stirling's research work is rated in the eyes of business and commerce - and of the university's ability to help make its own way in the world.
