In Stirling, Teri Taylor, te: 01786 431110, from Forth Valley NHS Health Promotion Department will help you set up a healthy tuck shop. A video is available to show schools how to get started. An information book called "One More Step." published by Forth Valley NHS provides information and advice on developing a whole school approach to food in Forth Valley Schools.
We've got a healthy tuck shop in our school, we sell fruit, fruit kebabs, plain popcorn, smoothie drinks and lots of other healthy things. My friends love it! We all take turns working in the tuck shop.
That's brilliant Robin! Some schools have come up with really good ideas. Cowie Primary thought of loyalty cards, where if you bought 5 pieces of fruit in one week you get one free.
Trossachs Primary have had some good ideas too! Someone from your school could phone them Evan to find out what they've been doing.
