Play programmes operate all over the council area in community centres, schools, village halls as well as in parks, play areas and school grounds. They use vans, Superbus, marquees, a vast range of equipment and materials and skilled playworkers to take play wherever children and their carers might be. They also involve artists, crafts people, dancers, musicians, storytellers and gardeners in events and activities.
Play programmes include play projects for children aged 5-12, which can be booked in advance. There are also play in the park programmes and community events and workshops for people of all ages, though children under 8 must be accompanied.
