Stirling Council appoints new leaders 

At the first meeting of the Council on Thursday 17 May, Stirling Councillors agreed the following appointments:

Councillor Mike Robbins (Lab) was elected Provost of Stirling.
He will be supported by 4 Baillies who are: Councillor Neil Benny (Con), Councillor Mark Ruskell (Green), Councillor Violet Weir (Lab) and Councillor Fergus Wood (SNP).

Councillor Callum Campbell (Con) was appointed Depute Convener.

Councillor Corrie McChord (Lab) was appointed Leader of Stirling Council.  Depute Leader will be Councillor Alistair Berrill (Con).

The meeting adjourned at 7.15pm and will reconvene on Thursday 24 May at 6.30 pm.
