Apply for free school meals, a clothing grant or both

Use this form to apply for free meals for your child, support with their clothing costs or both. This form covers the 2023–24 school year.

You can complete this form if you're the parent or carer of a child who goes to school in the Stirling Council area.

You can use it to apply for:

  • free school meals for your child or children
  • a clothing and footwear grant for your child or children
  • both of these types of support

If you want to apply for a clothing and footwear grant for the 2023–24 school year, you must do this by 31 December 2023.

Before you begin

Make sure you've read our guidance on eligibility. This includes information on the upper age limit for clothing grant applications.

You'll need:

  • your bank account details
  • details of your child or children, including the school(s) they attend

It would also be helpful if you have:

  • your National Insurance number
  • a copy of your benefit letter

However, these are not essential.

Uploading a tax credit award letter

You'll also need to share your most recent tax credit award letter if you receive:

  • Child Tax Credit
  • Working Tax Credit

The letter should:

  • be dated within the last 3 months
  • show your expected income

You can take photos of your letter and send these to us using this form.
