Being involved in local community planning
Local community plans are a way of a community identifying issues and priorities for their area. Local community groups can then come together to create a plan to take these forward.
Being involved in your Community Council
Community councils are groups of people who care about their own communities and want to make their area a better place to live. They represent the views of local people and convey these views to the Council and other public bodies. They have an important role in local democracy and in the planning process.

As a Council we encourage communities and individuals to be involved in how we work in various wasy for example through consultations, the Priority Based Budgeting process and panels.
